Vision Statement:
To “Live and Share the Abundant Life of Jesus” effectively, we must individually and corporately commit to:
- knowing and growing in God’s Word through regular personal and corporate Bible study;
- regular worship and fellowship opportunities;
- making everything we do the very best and of the highest quality;
- making meaningful Bible study, worship, programs, ministries, fellowship and other church activities available in different and varied settings for members and non-Christians;
- faithful discipleship through Christ-pleasing thoughts, actions and deeds every hour of every day;
- faithful discipleship by our tithing, giving, service and use of our talents in the Kingdom;
- constantly reaching out and seeking the spiritually lost and dying in our community;
- constantly reaching out and caring for the needy and hurting in our community;
- making sacrifices and being inconvenienced so that we can share the Good News of Jesus;
- using the church campus for sharing the Abundant Life of Jesus and serving and caring for people every day of the week;
- making the worship experience inviting and attractive to those who seek to visit and know more;
- supporting and participating personally in the programs and ministries of St. John;
- being open-minded and forward thinking about the mission field and serving others, but in doing so never waiver or compromise any aspect of our theology or adherence to Scripture.
The future at St. John is all about the Abundant Life of Christian discipleship: being very intentional about reaching the lost and caring for those in need. We will truly be “living and sharing the Abundant Life of Jesus” when we fulfill these vision statement items both as Christian disciples and as a Christian congregation.
