Resolutions of St. John Church

Adopted, May 2004

1. THE WORD. We need encouragement and strengthening in our knowledge of God's Word, and resolve to provide more opportunities for bible study, prayer, worship services, and small group ministries to enlighten and strengthen the spiritual lives of our Christian family.
   
   
2. YOUTH. The future of this church family lies in the children, youth, and young adults of our parish. We resolve to implement and maintain strong, dynamic programs for children, youth, and young adults, aimed at building life-long relationships with God and with our brothers and sisters in Christ, service to others and the community, and in making St. John a place where children, youth, and young adults in our Christian family and in the community find interest, challenge, and fellowship, are are attracted by a warm and welcoming spirit.
   
   
3. CMC & SCHOOL. Christian day schools are a high priority and a need for many families in this community, and our Christian day school is a vital outreach ministry and holds many additional educational and ministry opportunities. We resolve to support this ministry, to enfold its parents, students and staff into our Christian family and in all the activities of the congregation, and to encourage future growth of this vital ministry.
   
   
4. EVANGELISM & OUTREACH. There is a tremendous need in our community for assistance and to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. We resolve to train and equip groups and individuals to be fervent and diligent in our mission and outreach efforts in the community, and to enfold visitors and new members into our Christian family.
   
   
5. SCRIPTURAL & INDEPENDENT. We resolve to implement these new ministries in a Christian and fiscally responsible manner.
