Join us on Sunday Mornings at 9:30 for Sunday school.  Come and join this exciting study.

Splashtown Christian Lock-In will be July 26.  The cost is $24.  Sign up by sending Rhonda Mohr an e-mail at .  We will meet at the church at 9 p.m. to leave for Splashtown.   Youth will be brought back to the church at 7 a.m.  This event is for senior and junior youth including incoming 6th graders.  Parents who are available to drive and/or chaperone this event during the night should contact Miss Mohr.

Colorado Mission Trip Youth Meeting:  The youth and chaperones traveling to Colorado are meeting for a work training session led by Carl Benton on Tuesday, July 1, at 7 p.m. in the upstairs conference room of the Fellowship Center.  Everyone attending the trip is asked to be at this special meeting.

Junior Youth Corpus Christi Mission Trip:   This event is for students going into 6th grade through youth who have just been confirmed.  This trip is scheduled for August 2 – 5 and the cost is $30.  Our service opportunities will include “cleaning up” type projects, such as yard work, painting, and regular cleaning.  This is a great opportunity to do a service for others.  If you are interested in being a part of this event, please contact Miss Mohr at .

Senior Youth Ice Cream Sundaes to welcome Jonathan Zoch, our new DCE intern, who will be working closely with the youth over the next year! Wednesday, July 2, 7 to 8:15 p.m., St. John youth room and volleyball court. All senior youth, including those who were confirmed in May, and feel free to invite any of your friends to come with you.  We want to give him an opportunity to hang out with all of you and also for you to get to know him! Bring: a glove and a ball if you’re up for the challenge of a game of softball, and wear cool clothes as it will be hot outside!  

Junior Youth Swim Party to welcome Jonathan Zoch, our new DCE intern, who will be working closely with the youth over the next year! Monday, July 14, 6 to 8:30 p.m., Coles Crossing swimming pool (main pool on Barker Cypress). All junior youth (children entering 6th grade up to those entering 8th grade) and their families!  We want to give the junior youth and their families an opportunity to get to meet him. Bring: Your own drinks.  Hot dogs and chips will be served. Please RSVP if you’re able to attend to JeanAnne Klewitz at .  JeanAnne would like to have enough food!

Confirmation for 2008-2009:  If your child is entering 6th grade this fall or if you have a child entering 7th or 8th grade that is not presently involved in St. John’s confirmation program and you would like to enroll them, please submit your name, address, and your child’s name to the church office or to Rhonda Mohr. Please let us know by Sunday, July 13.
