About St. John Lutheran Church

God has called us to faith and to abundant eternal life through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. It is our privilege to join him in his mission to give that gift of life and salvation to all people.

Our mission statement, “Living and sharing the abundant life of Jesus,” focuses our energies and efforts in that direction. Jesus has a wonderful gift to share. He shares it by means of the message so clearly expressed in Mark 1:14-15: Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”

As we repent and believe the Good News of Jesus Christ (the gospel) we are moved toward an abundant and balanced life of discipleship where we seek to be faithful in our worship of God (UP), our connections and fellowship with others who are following Christ (IN), and our efforts to extend his kingdom by calling others to repentance and faith in Jesus (OUT).
